Project Summary
Over the past decade the Eastern African Consortium for Clinical Research (EACCR) has strived to build capacity human resource capacity for clinical research among others, within the eastern African region. Despite these efforts still there is a gap in science for women capacity building in research and academia especially from under-represented countries. We propose to conduct a multidisciplinary PhD training programme to equip five female scientists from under-represented countries with skills and knowledge in infectious diseases.
The Capacity Building for Female Scientists in East Africa (CaFe-SEA) training programme will be delivered by five partners of the EACCR and will leverage the expertise in training built over the past decade.
