Project Objectives

Objective 1: To determine phenotypic antibiotic resistance pattern of gram-negative bacteria isolated from clinical sample before and during COVID-19 era. Objective 2: To compare genomic composition of gram-negative bacteria isolated before and during COVID-19 era. Objective 3: To compare the activity of Outer membrane vesicles produced by before and during COVID-19 era.

Study Design

Project Summary

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted healthcare systems worldwide. The shifts in healthcare practices during the pandemic may have unintentionally influenced the behaviour of bacterial. Despite the importance of understanding these changes, there is limited research comparing bacterial behaviours from before and during the COVID-19 era. Understanding these shifts is critical for developing effective strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and improve infection control practices.
