DSI-NRF Centre for Excellence in Human Development: apply for a Postdoctoral Fellowship (submission deadline: 10 January 2024)


The DSI-NRF Centre for Excellence in Human Development seeks to appoint several full-time postdoctoral researchers.
This programme fellowship aims to develop postdocs to senior researcher level within 2 years.
All fellowships will involve mentoring, academic writing, project planning/implementation, data analyses and career strategy formulation.
The successful candidates will work closely with Professor Shane Norris and Dr Khuthala Mabetha as programme mentors.

Fellowship details

South African nationality candidates are eligible.

Social sciences, epidemiology, and health sciences.

Skills and experience with quantitative and/or qualitative methods and strong statistical experience will be an advantage.

Candidates should demonstrate collegiality and willingness to work as part of a peer team.

Track record of publication will be an advantage.

Johannesburg-based in person.

The postdoctoral fellowship is tax-free for a total of 2 years.

Completion of PhD is a pre-requisite.

Submission deadline: 10 January 2024
